    6x265

    Abs
    Front Plank x 2 min 30 sec (+30s)

    Cardio:
    Uh, no.

    Comments:
Bodyweight = 192.5 Yeah. I'm light. Still, it evidently has helped my pullups because I was able to set a rep PR by 3 reps last night. I'll take it. My goal, however, is to hit an even 20. That should come very soon. Squats felt reasonably decent despite doing all the tire flips on Saturday. I also tried some rack squats for the first time in forever. I did them from about 2 inches above belly button level, so fairly deep. Maybe about 5-6 inches above parallel (I guess like a half squat). I definitely felt those in the hips and glutes!

    1x205

    Cardio:
    Nope.

    Comments:
This was done very quickly as we had limited time before the gym closed. It was also done after painting the house all day so I'm sure I was a bit fatigued and kow I hadn't eaten what I should have. Still, it felt okay. I hadn't done push presses in a long time so thought I'd throw those in there as I was in the rack anyway. Front squats all felt solid, too.

    5x100
    5x100

    Cardio:
    No way.

    Comments:
This was a short and sweet session. Pullups felt good once again and I probably will do set of 6 with the +45 next time. Sets of 5 was too easy which is why I did 7 on the last set. Bodyweight is at 190 and my waist is definitely smaller because my size large Inzer belt is pretty much too big for me now. I wore Erich's medium and it fit me fine. I either need to gain some more weight again or get a new belt! I'll go with the former. I'd at least like to be back near 200.

Interesting you are at the 190 mark as of late, good luck getting to where you'll be most comfortable.

I'm 5'9 (it's in my signature). Yeah I think hovering around 210-215 was a bit heavy for me but 200 should be just about right. I'm consicously trying to eat more to make ti happen.

    Comments:
Left side is still bothering me so the imbalance is pretty pronounced and it's definitely affecting my benching poundages. That's one reason I am focusing more on unilateral work with DB's instead for a while. Thankfully my deadlift and other pulling movements don't seem to be affected.

My cousin Jaina was supposed to come on Sunday and we were going to the Rise Against/Bad Religion show but she had to back out. I'm trying to find somebody else to go with me now. I have a happy hour tonight with work friends and such. That's pretty much what I've got going on this weekend.

Thanks, Nick. I'm actually going to lay off benching completely this week and gonna do some indoor rock climbing instead on my usual bench day. Hopefully it feels better next week and I can get back at it!

    Did it on Strongman Saturday!

    Comments:
So I tried the two t-shirt thing because my belt has been fitting loose even on the tightest hole. It worked pretty well, although I was hot as hell as it seems they have not yet turned on the AC in my gym. I rocked it hard on pullups. They felt super easy tonight, so did 6 sets of 10, whereas the most I had ever done before was 5 sets of 10. Not bad.

Oh yeah, last night I went to Rise Against and Bad Religion with my cousin Kyle. Actually a band called Four Year Strong opened for them both, too. They all rocked it pretty hard. Apparently it was the first time Bad Religion had ever played in Champaign after 31 years of being around, so I was lucky to get to see them! Anyway, had a fucking awesome time!!!

    Strongman Saturday

    5 sets of 5 tire flips w/ 580lb tire

tire discus throw for distance x 6 throws

log clean and press and OH squats w/ ~100lb log

    metal pole climb and pullups

Car push for length of parking lot x 3 sets (car weighs about 3,850lbs with person in drivers seat)

    Comments:
It was a beautiful day on Saturday, so of course I had to get in a session of Strongman Saturday with my friends. For whatever reason, I was kicking azz on the tire flips. Oh yeah, that's probably because I didn't deadlift on Friday. Still, I did 5 sets of 5 flips with the tire and most of them were easy. Car pushing was a bit tougher because we used my car this time which is about 500lbs heavier than Matt's Honda that we usually use.

    Comments:
Took it a bit easier as I was still a bit sore from the indoor climbing wall on Wednesday. Plus I knew I was going to be helping my friends move a bunch of heavy stuff into their new apartment on Saturday. My left shoulder is still giving me issues so I thought it best to skip the benching and shoulder stuff for a week so did the climbing wall instead. It was a ton of fun. I need to do it more often. It's definitely a killer grip and forearm workout, also!

Even though I was de-loading on squats today, I felt like doing some relatively heavy olympic lifting today. I don't know, I just felt like throwing some heavy weight over my head. Sometimes ya just gotta get violent with the weights, ya know?

    Comments:
I hadn't benched in two weeks after taking off last week to let my left shoulder recuperate. It did feel better yesterday even though I only went up to sets of 225. Definitely felt smooth and more even. DB's didn't feel too bad, either. I hadn't done the pinch grip in ages and it showed. I need to get back to the grip work and get it to where it was before. I want to crush people's bones when I shake their hands.

Now is that really necessary, lol...seriously though, wise of you the way you've been handling the shoulder ordeal.

Ha ha. Thanks, Johnny. I'm not as strong as I used to be, but I'm working on getting back there.

    Ab Rollouts x 20

    Cardio:
    Not really.

    Comments:
This was a demanding session, especially doing the ATF pause squats after that last hard set of 5x355 on squat (which was close to ATF itself!). I don't think it was the weight but simply not being used to that kind of volume on squats. I haven't had a barbell on my back for the long in...I don't know when. Pullups once again felt good, though.

    Cardio:
    Naw.

    Comments:
It was kind of a 'meh' session. I think I need to really focus on my pec strength for a while as I think going ahead and trying to flare my elbow on my right side more might be the way to go instead of trying to bring my left elbow in. It's just not working. That way at least it'll be even. I've always been more of a tricep bencher in the past but it's better to go with a wider grip to activate more of the pecs as they have much more strength potential than the triceps. Flaring elbows more may not be the 'powerlifting' thing to do but I just care about what will work at this point.
