    dragons,

so you did not see any improvements in 6 months time. After you got to month 10 did u change your routine? eatting habits? or did you just suddenly begin to gain size?

Without getting biological on me, what does the food do to promote growth of muscles. I understand the concept of why we get, nutrients and the such, but what about the food helps you grow?
I never knew the percentage was 75%. I always thought rest and lifting where 50% and food the othre 50%.

So I am just curious on how the actual building process works from a food standpoint.

Well, at the most basic level food provides the energy that allows the body to operate, including tissue growth and repair. If the body isn't receiving enough food to function it will be energy deficient... and will have to utilize it's own "unessential" tissue (like muscle) as an energy source. That is called catabolism... and is why it's impossible to gain muscle and lose fat at the same time.

Not impossible, but not very likely. I've gained muscle while getting leaner.
