RR, I really like your style.
I used to be quite the artist, and then my high school art teachers crushed my desire to do anything art related ever again. I tried picking it back up in college, with the same ending.
I do much better outside of a class.

Yes, the class is "Intro To Anatomy for the Artist". The proff talks for a while about anatomy, than the model does a pose for ten minutes, than the students begin to examine him/her for about 3 minutes. During that time teacher is usually points out things you should look for, and how the muscle and bone come together at certaini points, and so on.

The rest. This was probably my favorite class this whole semester. I used to be an outliner I really began to learn to draw the person from the inside out, instead of outside in. Plus its a good conversation peace when i talk to girls, i describe how i dont even look at a woman in a sexual way, i look at a woman as if art

Thanks a lot, RR. That means quite a bit coming from someone with your kind of talent. Unfortunately, I haven't been creating much visual art as of late. Have you ever tried chalk pastel on velvet paper? You can get some wonderful effects with that.

velvet paper? sounds expensive lol, i'm a big fan of willow chalk, its so soft, like a babies buttom, no, i'm serious. I must say i really dont have much talent, anybody can draw like that and much, much better. The hard thing is letting go of ourlining and thinking. Thats the only thing i have, the ability to let go and just draw.

I think that's what makes a fantastic artist, though. It's not how accurately you can depict an object, it's how well you can portray a feeling with it. I can see that in the pieces you posted, and that takes talent, like it or not.

And yes, velvet paper is pretty damn pricey. It is my absolute favorite canvas to work on, though. You can make some gorgeous glowing effects with it, giving objects a very holy or ethereal look.

Listen to me, I sound like an art fag.

RR, I get the same thing as a photography student.

Apparently, from what I hear from my nearly all female proffessor staff, is that since most photographers are men, there is a great disparity between male and female nude subjects.

And I'm sitting in a class where the ratio of males to females is 1:5, and all the professors are women, and I have seen a lot of dongs rendered in silver halide and not a single boobie.

Case in point: the art world is full of ****.

But that's just one artist's opinion.

last class of anatomy. i'm upset. My fav. and best class is over. But the teacher is going to let me sit on his classes next simester, i can't wait for that. Here is a study of a female head and torso. I spent a good amout of time trying to get the scull of the female, i'm really happy with this study. I wish i had time to finish it.

Those are great but why does everyone in your drawings must have saggy tits and triple tires. Whenever I draw something that is worth my time investment, I make sure I give my girls a slim waist and big firm tits. JMO

i draw what ever they give me dude. It wouldnt be much of a study if i began to use my imagination and began to turn evey model into Anna Kournikova. As much as i'd like to. Wouldyou really concentrate on the musculature adn shape of the model if she was attractive, its pretty hard to do. I"ve had a couple of attractive model, it takes a long time to get over that. I think i'm over it, i think.
