The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    - choke her until she passes out
    - carry her into the house
    - have 15 of your friends do the most degrading stuff imaginable to her
    - videotape it all, providing masks for the male participants
    - use plenty of lube to avoid any and all bruising
    - show her the tape the next day

A good laugh will be had by all.

No, she's a woman. That's justification enough right there.

The US government does not officially accept sarcasm as a form of socially acceptable commentary. Ergo, please keep all future posts of this nature to yourself. Because you might offend somebody. And it's unnecessary.

I think beating up an unarmed woman is like beating a small child, especially for large guys like us at WBBF. I don't personally know any woman I can't beat the **** out of even with my "untrained, don't know how to fight" ass. They are just physically so inferior to large men that beating them is just too easy. Now, if she is threatening you with a weapon but you are unarmed, then I would want to beat the **** out of her. The problem, though, is that I've heard stories about guys getting burned eventhough they were the ones on the recieving end of a knife or a bullet and they defended themselves. It would see that just disarming the girl and running away fast would suit you better.

The world is full of double standards. Men and woman are different creatures wiht differen bodies and minds and I don't believe they are equal in certain situations. Meh, just being weary will save you a lot of headaches.

Good thing I'm not in, nor from, the US then. Fortunately some "free" countries still condone sarcasm.

Ergo, please keep all future posts of this nature to yourself.
I can't post them here in such a way that only I can read them. Sorry.

    Because you might offend somebody.
Anything anyone says might offend somebody. Let's all never say anything to anyone ever again and be totally PC. Although then you also couldn't warn people or give them good advice, so they would get pissed about the silence too. A lose-lose situation. So I'll just enjoy the status quo and keep on rambling.

    And it's unnecessary.
It gives me and others great pleasure. How is that unnecessary?

Respect doesn't come with being weak. If so, weak men should get the same consideration. They don't, ergo: hypocrisy. Respect should be EARNED by all, not doled out solely based on gender.

I couldnt agree more. You cant enforce equal rights selectively. All or nothing

I guess that to some extent, I've got it ingrained in me that I shouldn't really hit anyone... but especially not girls (my sister doesn't count). I think that one can believe in equal rights while recognizing at the same time that there are basic physiological differences between men and women, the most noticeable being the amount of sexual dimorphism that our species continues to exhibit (albeit to a small degree). I don't think that it's un-PC to say that women do not typically have as physically strong upper bodies as men, or to say that men put on muscle mass more easily, or tend to have a higher pain threshold.

In a lot of ways, the reason I feel like it's wrong to beat up a woman is the same reason it's wrong for me to pound the hell out of some kid who weighs 130 lbs. with a bodyfat level comparable to that of your average woman.

denim, true, but if a 130lb man is wailing the crap out of you, you'll put him down right? same with a female, if she's going psycho on your a$$, you have to do something, and walking away doesnt work because she wont stop pounding just because your back is turned

I've never been in a fight, I and truly hope that I don't ever have to, but I wrestle with my little brother a lot. I've gotten pretty good at putting low 100-something pound balls of rage into sleeper holds. I reckon most people won't want to keep fighting after they black out, at which point you can make your exit.

true, but if you had to fight someone physically because they wanted to hurt you, I know you wouldnt stand there and take it, no one should, gender aside, someone goes after me, I'll do what i can to not get hurt...I call it survival but i'd never go outof my way to hit someone or pound on them just because I'm angry, that's what kids are for...J/K thats what weights are for
