You know, I am having a hard sticking to a program.
I think I figured out why. Here's my short story.

Summer of 2000, I started the BFL. I made REALLY good progress. I gained some muscle size, and lost some inches (dropped from 38 to 33). I quit after 8 weeks

I think, because I quit the BFL challenge.. I have quit everything else since. I don't have the sense of "completing something". SO...

Starting MONDAY, January 29th.. I am doing 12 weeks of the BFL program. I get my cheat day, I won't break any rules.. I will do the diet as they say, work my ass off... and FINISH IT!

Then, and only then.. will I feel better about starting something on my own.. and finishing it.

I know a lot of people don't like the BFL program.. that is ok, this is a personal thing I have to tackle. I honestly think this is why I can't stick to anything, I always reflect back on the damn BFL and say.. "I was doing so well..."

So, what the hell.. I am gonna do 12 weeks. I am gonna stick with it, and i am gonna write the most emotional essay.. they'll have to give me an EAS jacket!!

Comments? I know my hardcore buds on here will say "NO!! Do something else..." I understand..

Hey, Good for you Twiztid, MAKE SURE YOU STICK IT OUT THIS TIME!!!!
Just think of how good you'll feel when you finish the 12 week program.
I was going to do it as well but it doesn't fit the goals I've got set for myself right now.

    Good Luck!!!

I have nothing against the BFL challenge!
If it didn't exist, my store would be making about half the amount of money it does

Twiztid!!! You've taken the first step--which is often the most difficult btw-- and you've decided to make the change!!!

Best of luck and I hope you kept that poem!!!!!!!!!!

    Hey Twiz
Since I'm starting to cut sometime between next week and Feb 1st, I was also thinking of doing the BFL challenge but do my own training routine, and diet. I want to do the challenge just to guarantee I stick with my diet 100% to gain optimal results. Everyone knows humans accomplish more competing against someone, rather than by themselves.
Lets both win jackets Twiztid! That $100K would be nice too

    Hell Yeah!
Then, when you get your money. I will play you a game of pool for it, and walk away with a Leather Jacket and $200k!

    Twiztid,
Just as a side note, don't feel too bad about quitting after 8 weeks. Most of us need to change things and mix up our program every 6-8 weeks to avoid the plateaus, blahs, overtraining, ruts, etc. that may have led you to quit. It was probably your body just telling you something vs. your inability to complete something.
At this point, completing the BFL, will probably be the best thing for your psyche, but afterwards, you may want to make it a point to change your routine & make new goals every 6 weeks.

good luck man. if you ever feel like quitting, just look in the mirror and see how much better you look just by sticking with it.
