    Personal training/fitness colleges

I've been interested in a career as a personal trainer for a while. I'm only 15, but I like to have a clear idea of my plans. Anyways could you guys help me out with a list of the best colleges for a sports science, physical ed, or wutever education I would need to become a personal trainer. Thanks!

I don't know that there are any colleges known for their health trainer program (whatever you want to call it). Most colleges offer majors that relate to personal training though.

Just get your degree and than become certified. The sports and fitness diploma with a personal trainer certification; double whammy.

I do believe what he's trying to say is that while you go to college (3 years from now) you can try to get certified. There are several organizations.... ISSA, A.C.E., NSCA...etc. (NSCA would be the toughest to get IMO). You could just attend the American College of Sports Medicine. How's about that one?

You can get all the materials and study now, learn as much as you can and than when you turn 18 get certified. Can't get certified unless you're 18. And don't forget to get certified in CPR; it's a requirement for most.
