The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    had an injury question

I just got over this injury.....

I was told it was an elbow sprain, but im not really sure what caused it or anything. Basically I would get a stabbing pain in my elbow joint when I would lift with it....it would aceh when it wasnt being used....click/crack when I locked it out or went from lock out and flexed my bi's....My doctor also told me that he could feel that it was putting up a fight to be locked out( like when id extend my arm it would pull so it wouldnt be extended all the way) It started in my left elbow then it got picked up in my right now..starting wearing elbow wraps and my right one healed up while i still lifted...took time off and im pretty sure its mostly gone in my left one

anyone know what this is called or have an idea of how it could be prevented or cured?

"My doctor also told me that he could feel that it was putting up a fight to be locked out( like when id extend my arm it would pull so it wouldnt be extended all the way) "
That makes it sound like a elbow flexor(bicep) problem.
Try warming up your bi's really good(and light) next time before you do tri's and see if that helps.

The back of your arm is your tricep.
But it sounds to me like you have a bicep/elbow flexor problem.

i used to have the exact same problem doing skull crushers, so i switched to using a machine instead...built up stregnth on there and now i can tolerate skull crushers...is it like the more of them you do the more it hurts the next time you work out? mine was fine after i stopped doing it for 2-3 weeks but once i went back it started hurting again, mine was only when i did those though...could be because i was doing more than i could handle (brother pulled back while i tried to force it up, many times i'd just give in without trying to, it'd just hurt too bad...)

dunno...but quite a few people have that same response when it comes to skullcrushers or french press...I have experimented with this before..and when I lowered the weight nd shortened the range of motion..the pain subsided...the deep stretch and heavy weight is what irritated my tricep

it didnt hurt in my tri, just elbow, and like when I work bis, sometimes it feels like my left arm pumps up more then my right even thought im doing BB curls, sometimes it will hurt in the joint only when i do BB curls on the upward motion.....And when the problem was at its peak, i never had a problem curling, only push/pull stuff.....but now its like the opposite, even after iv been off for 3months. Funny thing is it doesnt hurt doing hammer curls, or even french curls that much, mainly when i do BB curls with the straight bar

But ok say it is a bi/elbow flexor problem can do so this this biatch will heal? I take lots of msm, chondrodine(sp?), glucosemine, aswell as calcium and a multi...

Any help/advice is greatly appreciate, im so pissed over this shiat

hmmm, my total guess is an arm(forarm) supination/pronation problem.
Either see a physio to get this fixed or PM someone like Borris. He's a genuis!
