Bench press and close-grip bench press on same day?

I do chest and triceps on the same day, so I was just wondering if it's OK to do regular bench press and close grip bench press during the same workout. I would do about 4 sets of each. Just want to make sure I'm not over-doing the same movement. Should I find a different movement for tris to substitute for the CG-BP?

You can do both. However, I find that dips are a better triceps exercise anyway.

    Second takes the afterdeck
The third: the planks and rails.

Ooh yeah Dip good. Me like dip. but seriously though, dip save you time... hit your tris and chest at the same time.

You are stressing. I do them on the same day. Just a matter of preference. You work the same muscles, but with different levels of intensity. Are close grips your only tricep work?

i work both on the same day.

if you work your chest on the same day as your triceps. then they are fine to do both on the same day.

it's not my only tricep work...i do close grip bench press, kickbacks and overhead extensions usually. I do dips to work both chest and tris.

Just some advice, get rid of the kickbacks. Unless you absolutely love them and feel they make a difference. Throw in some skull crushers instead and I think you will see better gains, imo
