i hope this hasnt been requested too many times but can somebody explain the difference with mass and strength training. i know ive heard bout a lot of bodybuilders being weaker than they look, and other **** like that, but im more concerned with gaining strength for myself at this point and not so much mass. can some1 explain which excerscises more target strenght, and which target mass?
i'm pretty sure that you can use the same lifts for both strength training and bodybuilding. the difference is how the routine is put together and the diet

But saying that you get some very strong bodybuilders and some people powerlifters who if went a little diet would make good bodybuilders.
There can be a lot of cross over between the core of some one routine.
also there is a slight difference for some one trianing for pure strenght over some one trianing to be a powerlifter.
my exprience - joined gym 10 years ago, 6 1/2 years hard weight training exprience.
As body said there are little differences in how we train. The biggest rolee is diet though.

yea i basically lift for bodybuilding and strength. i never ran into any problems as of yet but i really dont give 2 ****s about my diet which would be my only problem. i eat basically whatever i want but i haven run into any problems as of yet...

i eat all day long, i usually eat cereal or egg and cheese bagels for breakfast, lunch probly fast food or mac and cheese and same for dinner. i try to eat as much meat as i can, i love steak but i dont get to eat it often. i basically eat like a 7 year old, and my diet consists of absolutly no fruits or vegetables. i just started takin a vitamin supplement.
IMO nothing wrong with eating until you cannot eat anymore, even if some of it is mcdonalds and such (when bulking) . Though ofcourse, that won't be good for your health.
Oh, get in your fruits, veggies, and wheats.
