    Are lats nessicary to build a kickass bench?

    how nessicary...I never work my lats (intentionally) and I have a high bench for my weight and age

    If you are trying to get your bench up, then lats is one of the muscle groups that will help you.

    If you want to have a kickass bench you'll need to work your lats.
