This may sound like a weird question to some so bear with me. First of all I've been lifting seriously for about 2 years. I'm 5'9.5" and went from a scrawny 148lbs to right now I'm 201lbs. My BF% went from about 13% to 16%. Here are my stats:
Bench Press: 275lbs
Unfortunately I don't have stats for when I started but lets just say I was MUCH scrawnier and weaker My question is are these good measurements/figures for someone of my height & weight? It seems my chest and arms should be a little bigger for someone 200lbs, and my bench seems a little weak. Maybe I put more weight on in my legs but then I would think my squat would be stronger than it is. It also could be all in my head, lol.
You should be as big/strong as you are. Don't worry about how you compare, worry about making improvements on yourself, but you numbers are pretty good.
Strength is sort of a strange animal because it depends a lot on what you are training for. If you're training to build muscle, it's a different type of training than if you were training for strength. Having said all that, I think your numbers are on par with your height and weight. I also think you have the capacity to get much stronger.Originally Posted by jostrichm
If you want to compaire, look at my numbers below (sig), i went from 150lbs at 15-18%bf to what i am now... in ~1.5 years.
Of course there is a tone of factors, like ROM etc.
