The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

It’s no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Bulk gone wrong, almost obese!

Just got my body fat pincher today, and I have 24.9% body fat!

I started bulking at 182.5 with 4000 calories a day. Did that for almost two weeks until I noticed I was gaining too fast. I'm now doing 3000/day and weigh 190. I know I'm bulking but this is just disgusting, almost 25% body fat, yuck. So I'm thinking moving down to my maintenence level until I'm around 16% then go on bulking again, any other ideas on how to get this off of me?

25% is definitely cutting time. The more bf% you lose, the longer you can bulk.

After my very first bulk, I was 190 @ 19%. It took me 4-5 months, and I was down to 9%

Saint Pat....how much did you weigh at 9%. I am 5'8'' and 184 at 14% and was wanting to cut down to about 7-8%. Just wondering if you looked good.

I've looked into PSMF but I don't think it's going to work for me since I can't see myself on low low carbs. Should I just lower my calories to say, 2000 and work cardio into my WBB #1 routine? My main goal now is fat loss, but I'd like to minimize my muscle/strength loss.

Brian - try dropping your cals to 2200 and see if you lose any weight after a few weeks. If you're losing too quickly, increase cals, if you're not losing anything, lower it a little more.

I suggest you check out my cutting guide:

Ok, rethinking. My real concern with going no/low carbs is school. I have two midterms coming up and finals less than a month away. Would I see better results if I did no/low carbs over the weekend then had a strick low calorie refeed during the week? This is bad guys, I'm starting to notice how fat my ass is now.
