My maximum chinup is 250lbs (body weight plus 70lbs), possibly more. Wheras my maximum bench press is only 225lbs. It seems to me that most people can push more than they can pull though.
Is this unusual?
yea id say that is pretty weird, but then again i got small lats, and a small chest , so u dont have to listen to me

No, not weird. I, for one, would rather have a strong back than strong chest, but it's hard to make a direct comparison in strength levels. Lifters tend to push more than pull because they train that way.
its only weird if you are comparing yourself to the chest and bicep club.
If you compared yourself to rock climber this would be very normal.
For me. I am about the same when comparing a 1RM or a 10rm
my exprience - joined gym 10 years ago, 6 1/2 years hard weight training exprience.

My back is stronger as well.... although I don't think it's fair to compare pullups to bench press. Maybe bench press to bb rows, deadlift to squat, etc.
