    Scary story

Scary story. Made me cringe even though I use a power rack. I hope the welds on my rack hold and that it never experiences a structural failure.

Sorry but it seems he wasn't using a cage, nor spotter, nor any kind of safety pins. It's a shame that he died but he was being a dumbass. I should not assume any of the above, but by the description, he was just being unsafe.

what does "heart flutters" mean? i know it means your heart would have irregular beat? but i know that if i dropped 250lb's on my chest i could manage to roll the weight off one of my sides.. unless it was real sponataneous and he just completely dropped the weight on his chest and broke some ribs.. man thats crazy.. rest in peace.

Heart flutters are when you have rapid, irregular heartbeats. I wouldn't call him a dumb@ss. 250 may have been a warm up set for him. There aren't enough details to know.
