    Shin Splints???

Recently been performing alot more cardio, including sprinting after heavy workouts.

Anyone else have experience dealing with shin splints? Any strecthes or anything I can do to eleviate the pain. Should I expect my shin ligaments willbecome stronger over time?

Make sure your wearing the right kind of shoe. Shoes have different set ups for different types of feet. You should go to a running-shoe store and ask what type of shoe is best for you.

I had shin splints my sophmore year of football. The next year I didn't.

I too suffered from them but I found it was because I was using too much of an incline. The only thing to fix shin splints is time, good shoes and donít do what ever brought them on in the first place.

Stretch you calves. I can't explain how to do it, so look it up, and keep doing sprints, it's good for you.

Will eventually get stronger. Dont let it get to the point where you try to run and you cant bear the pain, you wouldnt want a fractured bone now would you.

I stopped running on the treadmill because of this and no go on the bike or stairmaster. Been warm outside so I have been active outside, I can feel it but its not super bad and im sure will heal in time

To avoid shin splints you wanna start doing some dorsi flexion exercises of the ankle. If your a runner this piece of equipment is a must.
