A new study that my brother, who's a professional dietary analyst, just completed found that eating Chinese food once or twice a week raised liver enzymes to an average of 6 times the healthy level in people that worked out/exercised strenously for more than 3 days per week. It has something to do with MSG being added to the Chinese food. So just be careful with the Chinese food all you weightlifters!

Interesting that what is sold in the u.s. as chinese is not really chinese food at all. They eat primarily veges and rice. Most the food served here is the worst. High fat, high carbs, high trans fatty acids, and very high sodium. Not at all "clean " food!

    The Doc is correct.

Most studies show that Chinese have a much lower incidence of heart disease and other diseases of excess.

Except, when they get rich. Then they start eating a lot more like Americans. ie. Less grains, rice, fruits and veggies and more meat.

what's wrong with raising liver enzymes? what does that do? I thought enzymes assist in metabolic processes.
