The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Pit Sweat

My armpits sweat profusely at all times. It is the only part on my body that sweats like this. This has been happening for years and years now even before bodybuilding and supplements. Can this be resolved in any way? And yes I wear an anti perspirant.
    Thanks in advance.

    it sounds like hyperhidrosis.

i did some research on this a while back for a friend. there's a thread about this in general health somewhere.

i believe my final recommendation for banana for potassium, st johns wort, and hawthorn as an acetylcholine blocker, or one step up.

hang on...let me find the thread, and also move this to general health as well.

dunno..he never tried the whole thing, but he did start taking the st johns wort, and eating more bananas, and that helped apparently. i still think the hawthorn would be an ace addition. Just for the beta blocker stuff. I can explain the science but I have to refresh my memory.

If that herbal stuff really works for you I'll eat a 10 pound plate. Without ketchup.

you could prolly get it at walgreen or the supermarket these days......but yeah...i'd skip the maca, and just stack st. johns wort and hawthorn. and eat the banana.

At least the endoscopic surgery usually works. Maybe the herbal stuff does too, but I'm in a bad mood because I had to drive back to Granbury tonight and I refuse to cooperate or be reasonable.

Some herbal remedies are more hype than chemical interaction, I'll grant you that.

But a lot of herbal remedies work. Just because something is labelled 'herbal' and/or is a naturally-occuring substance doesn't mean it can't be every bit as effective as something manufactured by Pfizer or someone... in fact, I think the greatest danger is people assuming anything 'herbal' is automatically safe -- herbs and such can have a dramatic affect on your physiology and/or interreact with other herbs/drugs.

I agree with what you said, but I'd like to see somebody that actually was cured of hyperhidrosis from herbals. Herbals in general have weak, shotgun effects that are poor mimics of pharmaceuticals. If pharmaceutical cholinergic blockade can't stop it, then herbals aren't going too either.

On a different note and hypothetically speaking, if it's smell you're worried about trim down the hair to a length that is short but still normal looking... I have found that to keep any BO smell almost nonexistant even though I'm not really a smelly guy anyway.

I had the same problem for many years. A friend told me to use deoderant, NOT antipersperant...and i've since stopped sweating. I don't know why, but it works. I also only use deoderant at the gym, it may have something to do with clogging pores, etc. Try it, what's the worst that can happen?!?!

Worked for me, too. Antiperspirant eventually makes me sweat like mad if I use it for too long (months). Since using deodorant, though... nothing.

do you shave your arm pit hair?

trim, it allows the sweat to try quicker.

when nature gave us arm pit ahir, we did not wear as much clothes. this allowed for the sweat to dry and not be a problem.

NO, not bald. You'll be the victim of the most irritating and painful rash under your pits because it'll chaff you raw. Just trim it down a little so it's short but still normal looking. Even a little trim makes a world of difference in terms of smell, and it doesn't look like you have Tina Turner under your arm.

I sweat real bad under the arms and on my palms some times, and it drives me nuts . It's half the reason why I want to get big, so the girls will go out with me because of my size and not really care that much about my excessive sweating. IT'S DRIVING ME NUTS!!
