The one that punches you in the face whenever you eat poorly.

None of the above. It's about intensity.

Run till you puke. You get a 2 for 1 that way.

Sprints and interval training are what does it for me.

Get a skipping rope, there's a reason boxers are expert skippers, great way to "make weight".

Laugh now, but try it and I guarentee it will kick your ass!

I'd say swimming is superior only because it is low impact and uses more muscles so it has the potential to be more intense (but the intensity level on cardio is up to you really so maybe not).

but yeah, you can lose weight doing anything as long as your calories burned are greater than your calories eaten.

how would swimming mess up your muscles?? Maybe in the way that anerobic exercise makes the fibers slightly smaller for efficiency? Well in that case, don't you dare run, because that will **** up you muscles too.

There was a study that someone posted about either fat burnt while doing various exercises (swimming, running and bicycling) that showed running burned either more calories or more % of fat. I don't think it's entirely up to intensity.

Yes it would. I would say running in sweats, or swimming would be the best to choose out of. It's all up to how much intensity is involved.

I've read similar articles that have said the same thing. However, if I did 30 minutes of running and burned 300 cals, in order for me to match that with a road bike in the same amount of time, I'd have to make sure my intensity was the same as running (HR basically).

Same thing goes for an eliptical machine, stair stepper, treadmill and any other cardio machine.

No, although if you watch them thats what they'll have you believe. Most things sold on infomercials are very unnecessary. The usually perpetuate the idea that you're "allowed" to sit on the couch all day and eat potato chips and still have a right to a perfect body as well.

    i think he was joking

but on the subject of weight loss from cardio, i'd go the HIIT route, either with running, swimming or biking, i've done running and biking, and running absolutely killed me, but it also doesn't do much for ur joints either. do a search for HIIT.

I agree, its all about intensity and heart rate.
