    Slow arm growth, Big chest growth.

    My chest is really growing, but my arms seem to not to be growing so quickly.
    I started working out 11-21-04.. so these stats start 2 months after I started.

    Here is a bit of an example on the weight I am lifting, converted from KG. This is per dumbell.

    1-23-05 ................. 4-3-05
    Dumbell tricepts, 43 LBS ................. 48 LBS
    Hammer curls, 43 LBS ................. 51 LBS
    Benchpress 53 LBS ................ 70 LBS


    I usually work directly my arms only once a week. Will working the arms twice a week make any difference? I'm totally against overworking, and think many people do.
    What I don't understand is that a lot of people here say their chest grows slowly and their arms fast.. I find it chest grows quickly and arms slowly.

    another thing is when I work my chest.. I feel sore every time for a couple days. When I work my arms.. I don't feel so sore.. and if I do get a little soreness its only a day. Could I not be working my arms hard enough?

    Another thing is dumbell pressing, I got huge gains on my shoulders. For example.
    1-22-05 ................ 4-3-05
    Dumbell pressing 43 LBS ............. 56 Lbs

    so my shoulders seem to also grow much more quickly than my bicep and tricep.

    IS this normal?

    Keep in mind that generally, your poundage gains are going to be proportional to the size of the muscles you're working. I'd say you look like you're on track.

    Can you lift more weight doing dumbell pressing or (military presses) , or doing curls?
