do you guys ever take time to notice how much real world strength is gained from lifting? i have noticed a considerable amound, but would doing things like sandbag carries and other strongman style training enhance this by much more, or just a little?
I would say yes, however many people are adamant about not doing too much volume and therefore it might bother them.
I've found that doing deadlifts makes heavy objects feel lighter and much easier to carry and handle. That is probably the most noticeable real-world beneficial exercise that I do.
