The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    I got fat... :(

I have been lifting for 4 months. Eating big, lifting hard and doing WBB #1. Today, I took my shirt of while playing basketball...and all my friends made fun of me for being fat...i started off as 145 pounds...im almost 170 now. Sure I gained some fat...but now I feel liek crap about it Anyway, just spamming the forum a bit because this sucks :\

Just ask the people who made fun of you if they've ever squatted or deadlifted. Then laugh at them when they say no.

But seriously, if you're on a bulk most people will have to expect to put on a little fat. Don't be too hard on yourself. After you cut, you'll probably look killer. It's all part of the process.

You're not heavy for your height. Depends how much is muscle really. Go on a cut for a while.

Dont let your friends get you down, everyone gets ripped on for something. You wont be fat forever. Just think of it as motivation.

    Don't worry about it man.

If you are actually getting too fat, then you can start cutting if you want.

Seriously though, while you're bulking, just think about how you're gonna look when you finish that and then cut.

F' that. Dont let anyone be the judge but you. I bet you 20 bucks you feel stronger and more powerful now than you did when you were 145 dont you? Ask any of your friends to try and out lift you. Dont be self concious, you have the will power, and thats why you will get your goals and tehy wont. Sounds like your making good progress, dont stop for anyone but you.
