    Personal Goal Timeline

    Current 234 lbs 24.5%bf 177 lbs LBM
    Goal 1- June 8th 225 lbs 21.5% bf 177 lbs LBM
    Goal 2- August 1st 215 lbs 18% bf 176 lbs LBM
    Goal 3- October 1st 205 lbs 13.5%bf 177 lbs LBM
    Goal 4- Novemeber 15th 195lbs 10% bf 177lbs LBM End Cut
Goal 5- January 1st 200 lbs 10% bf 180 lbs LBM Start Bulk
    Goal 6- Febraury 15th 208 lbs at 11% bf 185lbs LBM
    Goal 7- March 30th 220 lbs at 13% bf 191.5 lbs LBM
Goal 8- April 27th 230 lbs at 14% bf 198 LBM End Bulk, Start Cut
    Goal 9- May 31st 220 lbs at 11% bf 196 lbs LBM

Anyone have similar plans to help them meet their goals? Just curious if I am weird or something.

I've done things like that in the past but I've always set my goals way to high and havent usually been able to reach them in the timeline. I now set more broad or longterm goals.
IMO your goals are way too lofty unless you have some awesome genetics and everything goes perfect. But it's still always better to aim high as long as you dont get too discouraged.

Setting goals is what it is all about. That is great that you are setting goals. It works.

I use fitday to set my goals. I don't have a way to measure my bodyfat.

My current goal is 160lbs by 8/22/05. I need to lose 1.29lbs per week to reach this goal according to fitday. I "should" be where I want to be once I'm at 160lbs. In fact, I might be where I want to be even before I get that low. I can only hope I'm not very tall so 160lbs at my height with low bodyfat is good.

Hehe, I know It seems like I have alot of goals, but after going over that with a few members on here, especially littlejake. We decided as long as I keep the bulk clean I should have too much trouble reaching the end goal. its basically loose 39lbs of fat and put on 18lbs of LBM in a year and 2 months. I dont think its impossible.

I don't think so either. But I would focus on one goal first and then the other, meaning focus on "losing weight" first, then when you get where you want to be, then think about how to bulk up.

I definatly agree, I want to hit 10%bf by mid novemeber and start a nice clean bulk. I divided the whole process into 10 steps. To stay focused on one little part at a time.

    I'm a planner, too.

And I often find if I don't write something down, it doesn't happen.

    Hence my sig.

    Good luck!

My philosophy on goals is to aim really high, even if you fall short you will probably do better than you thought you would.

    Good luck!

A goal not written is only a wish.

    ----someone more profound than I

I like to categorize my goals. Family, health, physique, spiritual, relationships, school etc. Too bad I seem to focus on physique far more than any of the others.

I don't really have anything but long term goals. I always missed my short term goals, mainly from overtraining and getting sick. I don't think they are a must.

If you miss short term goals along the way you will never get to the End goal. Unless you PWN and can catch up quickly.

Well, I know what I am training for and I know what to do to acheive it. I don't really need specific goals to make me train harder.
