The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Pain in Forearm

Last week i was doing wrist curls, and starightbar curls and every time i put the bar down, i get a shooting pain in my left forearm. i dont know what it is or anything, but its a pain that starts from the wrist and goes up to elbow. If anyone has had this before and can elaborate on this problem please let me know, also if anyone knows what it could be and if its just minor problem please post, thanks

You probably overdid it. Lay off forearm axcercises until the pain goes away.

We need a forearm pain sticky. It is so ridiculously common.

Solution: STOP DOING BARBELL CURLS. Stop all curls and any movement that cause pain for two weeks and rest. After that, only do dumbbell curls.

I guess i should just stop going to the gym altogether then for 2 weeks. Anything involving a tight grip causes me this pain. Its destroyed my love life........

LOL. You should still be able to do legs, right?

Don't grip yourself so hard and your love life will resume

And yes, do legs! Every 3 days conduct leg boot camp. It'll be great.

Ive been doing everything just working through the pain...its getting progressively worse though to where its tender to the touch. When i say antihgn involving grip i mean anything.....shaking someones hand...anything. Loading up a BB wiht plates to do squats involves hoisting up plates...thus grip. Im not complaining...i dont plan on stopping, but what im trying to say is that at this point there is nothing i do that doesnt aggrivate it. It has killed my grip to where i can barely do deads....will have to start using straps now.

Switch hands, see? All is well now.
    J/k

As MMN said, lay off any forearm engaging w/o's for a bit in the meantime. I'd get it checked out if it persists. Also, is it muscular? If so you can maybe try massaging that s***, although it sounds like bone/tendon the way you describe it.
