    Test/Challenge? 60lbs/EzBar/1Month

I'm throwing out a "Challenge" to waste my time for about a month. I wont be able to get into the gym untill Late June. I've got a Ez Bar with 6 plates of 10pounds. Wondering if you guys can give me something to do for about a month. Kinda like a ginny pig

    Ideas?

One arm cleans, snatches, over head presses, thrusters, pistols.

60lbs is more than enough to work the hell out of the strongest guys with the right exercises and rep schemes.

...and if anything, just going through the motions will keep you grooved until end of June, at which time you're going back to a gym anyway....

And he actually has more like 85lbs, counting the 25lb EZ Bar. Here are some exercises I can think of to use the EZ Bar.

    Upright Rows
Military Press (kind of close grip, but it'd work I think)
    Curls
    Close-grip press
    Pullovers
    SLDL
    Tricep Extensions (lying down)
    Front Shoulder Raises
Lunges with the bar on your shoulders maybe?
    Bent over Rows

hope it works out for you

Our EZ bar only weighs 15lbs, I weighed it on the scale at the gym and it says about 15 lbs.

Sell the e-z bar and plates and find a hardcore gym in your area..they tend to be cheaper than lycra-asspants gyms are. In my case, I got a gym membership at Hercules in syracuse for $100 that'll cover me until September whereas if I wanted to train at Bally's in the carousel mall it would cost me about $100 for *maybe* a month. Then again I also have a 400 pound weight set with a tree and olympic bar and collars in my basement that I got for $15 from my neighbor a while ago...so if you can find that then you are set for a lot of things.

Yes, but it may not be working them in the way they want. It's better than nothing, but if you can just get some bigger plates.

do they care THAT much about their crappy weights? if they want to get into lifting maybe you could talk them into getting an oly set + bench + power rack... if you did that youd be all set.
