Young Casey Viator pics for Big Nic

Ok, here are a few shots from his Teenage Mr. America win (at 18) and his 3rd place finish at the Mr. America the same year (he went on to win it at 19!).

He simply has to be one of the best built teens ever.

his whole physique is amazing, especially for his age. Does anyone know any of his measurements and why he stopped bodybuilding competitively.

    Thansk for the pics chris!

I am not sure why he stopped competing, but he was competitive through the 80s. He is over 50 now.

Now measurements are interesting. According to Arthur Jones his arms were 19 5/16". I assume this measurement was taken with him in shape (as opposed to off-season).

    His forearms were simply amazing.

i didnt realize he continued competing into the 80s. Kinda strange he didnt go farther in his career, given his amazing success at such a young age.

Casey is definitely one of my all time favorites.

He did quite well in the IFBB later in his career. He never won everything due to a somewhat blocky physique (in my opinion). He was very strong and very thick. I agree with BCC, one of my favorites as well.

Now you are going to make me have to rack my brains. Ok, referenced a Darden book for this one (Super High-Intensity Bodybuilding).

This was Viator's leg routine on 6/10/71. This was only 2 days before the Mr. America contest!

    - Leg press on Universal machine, 750 lbs for 20 reps immediately followed by
    - Leg extension on Universal machine, 225 lbs for 20 reps immediately followed by
    - Full squat with a barbell, 502 lbs for 13 reps

That is a feat of strength endurance which I think ANYONE would be hard pressed to equal. He did a giant set for legs with 502 lbs in the full squat for 13 reps to finish!

He could incline press over 400 lbs. I can't remember anything else off the top of my head. Suffice it to say he was quite strong.
