kevin, some people such as yourself just are genetically gifted in certain aspects of lifting like the bench press. People who you would never except to bench a certain amount do and then theres people like me who you would expect to bench a certain amount but couldnt even do half of it

I agree completely with everything Kevin said there. I have too have no doubt that you can do it gutz, its just that you dont look as if you can if you see what I mean. And thats not a negative thing either....They wont see you comin when you go to whoop their asses

When I go to the gym I see guys who are pretty huge and they dont lift much more than me on the bench. They lift around 160lbs which is pretty poor for their size...taking into consideration how big they are.

thats very true, everyone has their strong points and their weak points, alot of people have trouble with the bench.

Thanks guys and I guess I'm not really complaining about not looking like it...accually its rather a plus but it just annoys me when people look at you and say "Oh no way you can push that" but past that I guess it is a good thing...

EDIT:Oh and yeah my benching has always been my strong point...squating however...well

Benchings my specialty too man. I just remembered the winner of the 148 lb Open Class at the competition i recently went too, one of the nicest guys i've ever met his name was Jason. He didnt look at all like he could push much weight, he wasnt in bad shape at all but he just wasnt overly big so i was interested to see what he was gonna put up... he opened with 385, nailed 400, and almost got 410... so looks mean nothing.

Genetics can be cruel, you should be happy with whatever size you attain knowing you put your all into it. That may sound easy to say comming from a bigger then average guy, but I truely believe that if you do your best you can go home at the end of the day a happy man (or woman).

Well put sir Personally I know genetics play a big part in how I look but as long as they don't hold me back strength wise I can and will go home a happy man

I believe you that you can put up those numbers. Your physique looks like the type that could do it since you're about 5'6".

You have good size for 15.
