The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

How much do you pay for your Gym.

Hi. I just wanted to find out how much different gyms charge per month.

I'm going to Bally Fitness and I pay $84 for two-people membership. I think they are ripping me off because now they are selling memberships for $19 a month.

    Thank you.
P.S. If there's somebody from Brooklyn here, do you know any nice low-priced gym over here?

My gym is in my garage, so $0 per month.

I used to go to Bally's locally. I don't rmember what it cost, but it was supposed to be that by the end of my contract, I was a "Lifetime Member". Yeah right. They still tried to charge me for anything they could.

I'll never go to a "gym" like that one again.

Besides my garage, I find that the "Sweat Shop" style gym is the best. No frills, no jacuzzis, no little boys sticking their arms out, no girls in full make-up... Just weights and people who are in to using them.

Usually, those are much more cost-effective. I found one that I went to for awhile that was $20 per month.

About $30 a month. Bally's is retarded...go look at your contract. I bet the rep didn't tell you that you also signed up for a lifetime membership. When you are done and you realize as a gym Bally's is sh!t and move to a new gym, you will still have money drawn out from your account for maintainence fees or something because you are a lifetime member. Bally's sucks unless you use it for cardio. There's about a trillion treadmills and a 20' by 20' freeweight area with a buncha kids drooling over the women that go there to meet guys dressed in sports bras and tight spandex. I don't know why they don't open up a bar in there since I consider it a social place instead of a place of Iron. Maybe they can clear out the free weights and make it a dancefloor.

Gyms like that should be torn down.

    They don't deserve the name.

We need to start harrassing the hell out of places like that. I'll get a bunch of PL buddies, pack up a lot of chalk, and start deadlifting on their nice clean carpet. I want to see how long it will take us to get thrown out.
