The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Knot on my wrist

On my left hand, on the palm side, near the base of the thumb, in the joint, I have a knot about the size of a marble. It came about recently when I was lifting a bit more weight than I should have attempted.

The odd thing is that the lump is tender, but I don't notice it otherwise. It's relatively hard, about the density of a rubber eraser. I can still lift as much if not more weight and it doesn't bother me in the least. Is this something I should be concerend about? I looked on the web for answers to no avail.

It's only been there for a week, should I wait and see if it goes away or do you think it's worth the trip immediately? Sorry, I just hate doctors.

i understand ,i don't like visiting doctors myself! i've had a wrist problem for months and delayed it and it got worse!

i just think it would be better to get checked with a doctor!

I guess I'll have to bite the bullet.

Thank you very much for the advice.

I'll bet it's harmless. I have two or three bumps like that on my forearms; I asked my doctor, and he said they look like fat deposits under the skin, probably due to muscle growth. If you have low BF% in the area and have been lifting, it might be the same thing. It certainly sounds similar.

The problem is that it's located on the joint itself, not to mention that it's not very soft.

And I have relatively high BF%, I just started diet and exercise 3-1/2 weeks ago.

But thank you for your reply, it's something to keep in mind when I DO get lean.
