Lifting and working with a heavy bag

I just started bodybuilding about 3 months ago. So I have been reading all that I can and my question is that I love to hit the heavy bag but how can I incorporate that into my training schedule. If I lift today then tommorow jog then hit the bag I am using my muscles and will that overtrain them?

what I mean is don't over complicate it.
Lift one day, run the next, hit the bag day3, lift next day.
When you feel run down just ease up on your frequency.

Do the heavy bag no more than twice a week. Use it as your cardio and do it on off days. I wouldn't do it the day before a chest or leg day. I always like to incorporate some heavy bag training into my routine. It's a fun change of pace.

What are you working with? I've got a 60# at home but am about to join a gym that has a 100# bag.

    When do you do legs?

Based on that routine, you should hit the bag Sat and Tues.
