You know how some guys have hard pecs without even flexing them? I walked into a guy in my office who has been lifting for awhile and he was like a rock. My pecs get hard when i flex them, but they are relatively soft when I'm not flexed. How do some guys have hard pecs all the time?
I'm 5'11 170lbs, my max bench is about 240. I have been lifting hard for the last 2-3 months or so after taking about a year and a half off.
