it seems like the more articles i read on this site the more i hear that a once a week per body part routine just won't cut it. but then so many people on the forums advocate the once a week routine. in the long run, is it better to go with a full-body twice a week, or an upper body/lower body split twice a week, or just stick with once a week per body part?

I'm doing a split right now that hits most parts three times every two weeks. The others get hit twice.

I try to do every muscle group once a week... and what do you mean by full body twice a week... like you workout two days a week and do a full body workout in one day?

Personally, I have done 2x a week muscle group w/outs and the once a week muscle w/outs. For me, once a week has given me greater gains. But then, everyone is different.

I do eveybody part once a week and any body part that I feel like needs more I hit twice. Abs, calves, and one body part that feels like it didn't get punished enough.
Bulking for a few more weeks
Bench: 1x315 Squat: 4x365 Dead: Need to Max
Bench: 1x335 Squat: 2x425 Dead: 1x385

thanks for the input guys. hoser, by that i basically mean doing like a workout 2-3 times a week that hits the whole body each of those days, or doing like an upper/lower split something like upper-Mon., lower-Tues., upper-Thurs., lower-Fri., or something similar. anyways, i'll just have to mess around and find what works best. any other opinions?

Yeah. Try them all, and see what works for you.
