The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

We tend to think of Sisyphus as a tragic hero, condemned by the gods to shoulder his rock sweatily up the mountain, and again up the mountain, forever. The truth is that Sisyphus is in love with the rock. He cherishes every roughness and every ounce of it. He talks to it, sings to it. It has become the mysterious Other. He even dreams of it as he sleepwalks upward. Life is unimaginable without it, looming always above him like a huge gray moon. He doesnít realize that at any moment he is permitted to step aside, let the rock hurtle to the bottom, and go home.

Yay. It always gave me great assurance that if the Commies nuked the CIA, I would go in the blast wave, growing up less than 2 miles away, and not have to bother with radiation poisoning and other nonsense.

    Worked for me.

To get a greater level of specificity (rather than being limited to major metropolitan areas), you can directly enter longitude and latitude.

edit: I got it working.. it would take a 15,000 KT bomb in the middle of chicago for me to almost be in the .1 PSI ring

The largest H-bombs ever made were Russian models in the 10 mega-ton order of magnitude, but most were smaller than 10MT. The US never really fielded too much larger than 1MT.

In any case, take solace in the fact that MANY nuclear weapons will deployed per target. MIRV ICBMs are also basically unstopable -- a dozen warheads in the hundreds of kilotons range. So, if you're feeling left out, they can probably spare a few kilotons for you.

Far more interesting are the man-portable, landmine, artillery, and other tactical nuclear weapons. (Terrorists could concievably deploy weapons of this scale against a US city.)

And thats only the blast radius. It doesn't take into account the much larger zone that would die a much slower, more painful death from the radiation fallout.

It doesn't take into account the heat blast, either. That's just the pressure wave.
