In general, is it a bad idea to do deadlifts the day before squats? I follow a pull/leg/push routine so if I do deadlifts on pullday the very next day I would be squatting. Is this a bad idea? Thanks.

keep squat days and deadlifts apart. i heard of some doing them same day but i personally dont.
Bad idea. The stress that DLs out on your back will make it hard to squat on the following day. If nothing else, do squats the day before deadz. WHen I do both on the same day, Squats are always first.

What if you Deadlift on wednesday, thursday is rest (well I do abs), and friday squats ?
Why not do Deads on Monday and Squats on Friday?
I do Squats on Wednesdays and Deadlifts on Saturdays, with the purpose of putting as much time as possible between the two.

If you can, give yourself at least a couple days inbetween each to recover. I would suggest that you squat before deadlifting (within the training cycle or within a single session).
