The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    FINALLY!!! I deadlifted 315

so after a long year and a half of working out and making mistakes along the way to figure out my body i got my deadlift up to 315. it was awsome!! my second to last set was 265 for 8 and i figure what the hell lets bump it up to 315 for my last set and i just slowly ripped out 4 reps very controlled.

so far my squat is 315 and now my deadlift is. just gotta work on that pesky bench thats sittin steady at 185 lol. still experimenting with form/weight/grip. if i get the other stuff to go up why not bench right?

ahhh i just wanna go back and do it again it was such a good feeling.

Nice job! With your dimensions and how high your squat is, I see your deadlift going up even more. I feel for you on the bench.

I remember when I first hit 315 lbs for deads. It's an awesome feeling. I think it was the first time I couldn't help but smile in the gym.

    Great job!!
Best way to cheat on deadlifts...

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial

Yeah, it's pretty sweet that you can squat the same weight that you dead.

That's awesome! I'm gonna go for a 1RM 315 next week, so I'll be sharing the same joy that you are now. Hehehe.

ive always had strong legs from playing goalie in ice hockey for like 12 years. Up, down, up, down...thats all my job was on the ice. so all thats left is gettin that damn bench up to a weight that fits in with the other 2 lifts.

good luck with your 1RM fixationdarknes...may i suggest some heavy metal music for that lol.
