    What do you guys eat to spike your insulin?

    What should I eat before my workouts to spike my insulin? I've never even done it before, but I'd like to start doing it. Something with good sugars? I would just eat a spoonful of granulated suger would I? lol.

    sorry Invain, i usually have a shake toss in some oats,honey,banana and while i'm training 2 scoops of gatorade powder in water

    what does spiking your insulin do? I always eat some kind of carb before I workout like an hour or two before or something.

    Yes.

    I should have mentioned the preferential nutrient partitioning afforded by the post workout window.

    Post workout, your fat is relatively insulin resistant, and your muscle cells are relatively insulin sensitive.

    The ideal we wish we had all the time.

    So an insulin spike at this time is beneficial.
