The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

maybe his tris, but not his bis.

"It is often said, mainly by the "no-contests", that although there is no positive evidence for the existence of God, nor is there evidence against his existence. So it is best to keep an open mind and be agnostic. At first sight that seems an unassailable position, at least in the weak sense of Pascal's wager. But on second thought it seems a cop-out, because the same could be said of Father Christmas and tooth fairies. There may be fairies at the bottom of the garden. There is no evidence for it, but you can't prove that there aren't any, so shouldn't we be agnostic with respect to fairies?"

"Out of all of the sects in the world, we notice an uncanny coincidence: the overwhelming majority just happen to choose the one that their parents belong to. Not the sect that has the best evidence in its favour, the best miracles, the best moral code, the best cathedral, the best stained glass, the best music: when it comes to choosing from the smorgasbord of available religions, their potential virtues seem to count for nothing, compared to the matter of heredity. This is an unmistakable fact; nobody could seriously deny it. Yet people with full knowledge of the arbitrary nature of this heredity, somehow manage to go on believing in their religion, often with such fanaticism that they are prepared to murder people who follow a different one."

I think we will be seeing some form of an upset this year due to Ben Weider issuing a mandate regarding IFBB judging criteria. Distended abdomen's and obvious Synthol usage will be grounds for scoring penalties. How much? Who knows?
Things could be the same and judges could claim that the top three were just THAT much apart from others and still beat them. Most Pro's are claiming that if Chris Cormier can pull his condition. off he'll take the Sandow. That is if the judges will adhere to the criteria. Regardless of who takes the title; Bodybuilding will NEVER be a mainstream sport. EVER. I don't understand the need to try to cater to more average joes. If you want to cater to Avg Joe's: Put some fatass on stage.
Ronnie still has GH gut as well as Cutler from the pics I saw earlier.
If judges stick to their word then I really think that Cormier has a shot at it.
We'll see. If I'd known of the drama ahead of time I would have made a trip out of it.
I actually don't have to work this weekend either...hmmm.
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In The fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade And yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate how charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

So who do you think will be the top three?

    For me I think Ronnie
    Cutler
    Jackson

And after that it's wide open.

I'd like to see Jackson take it, but I don't think anyone has a shot until Ronnie retires.

its no big thing, even down to the lower senior ranks everybody is strapped with synthol, but bbers have become much better to do it proffessionally, nobody walks around like valentino anymore, they get it nicely done.

Out of all the pics, I think Armin looks the best by a landslide. But obviously I'm not a judge.

I think Armin Scholz looks great as well- I think his physique looks remarkably similar to Chase's actually, shape-wise. He's put on some serious size since he was in those ads with Markus Ruhl.
That's much closer to what I'd want to look like than Ronnie or Jay.

Ronnie should be over 300lbs in competition shape this year.

I've been reading from other boards that Dexter has a big annoucement to make at this year's Olympia. Apparently they are forming a new federation of bodybuilders.

Yeah, Vince Mcmahon tried the same thing a long long time ago. He failed with a ton of money backing him, I can't see any new bb federations taking off

I doubt they have a large enough fanbase to support a new federation.

As for the competitors, Ronnie will be on top. I don't know where the hell this Gustavo guy came from last year, by the way.

I've always loved Cutler's side-tricep. I think he owns the pose.

Just make sure to turn the volume down. The MC's are horrible. HORRIBLE!!!

I'd like to see one where Carson from Queer Eye hosts it. I think that would be entertaining.
