    chest : waist ratio

    i'm 6'3 215 i think about 15% bf

    my chest is 44" unflexed
and my waist is 35" unflexed.

it seems like my waist measurement is large,

but when i suck it in , it gives me a great taper, and it measures 33" when i suck it in, and thats about the kind of taper I want.

What are your guy's chest and waist measurements?

I wonder if the bodybuilding pros have a certain ratio in mind that they aim for when they train.

    Currently Recomposing... - Weight: 190 lbs | BF: ~15%

when people flex their chest for the "pumped measurements" isnt the measurement bigger when you flex your lats instead?

    chest as big as possible.
    waist as little as possible.

    beside that, not really.

also when people give chest measurement. your lats make up a big difference to this as well.

    Hehe... another short stocky bull.

    I'm 5'5" 217, 48C, 40W. OK, so I'm fat. I have another 3-4" to lose off my waist, and about 15-20lbs.

A guy at work who is an amateur comp. bber says for non-comps a chest to waist drop of 10" is great.

That's why you're here. I was 42 inch chest to 43 inch waist when I got here. Change happens.

Thanks man, after losing weigth and gaining muscle after middleschool I kinda just built upon what I had and got to where I am now. As for my diet I eat alot but I eat pretty healthy, high protein good ammount of carbs and fat. I've always avoided eating breads or high carb foods post 7pm for a while now.
