The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

It should be noted that the US Libertarian Party's position on immigration is pro-immigration and open borders. They, as has been noted, do not like the idea of these people automatically getting certain government programs just for getting here... but then again they don't like most government programs in the first place.

And I actually agree with them.

Neither France, nor Canada are socialist politically - and much less so economically. Can you please stop trying to blame these riots on socialism, it is a cop-out from trying to gain any real understanding.

    Actually, this is incorrect.

Libertarians do not support the use of force to integrate groups of people who do not want to do it on their own.

There is a big difference. As mentioned above, the Libertarian position is one of open borders. Of course, that doesn't work in a welfare state.

I don't know about all of you. But this whole riot thing just adds to the list of reasons why us Americans hate the French. :evillaugh

Best way to cheat on deadlifts...

Stand there for a few minutes, then pace back and forth a lot, huff and puff, wait until everybody's looking. Approach the bar. Back off. Approach it again. Back off. Get some water. Chalk up. Approach the bar again. Then spray some more chalk around. Wait until people start losing interest. When nobody's looking, pick it a little off the floor, and slam it down. Jump up and yell "LIGHT WEIGHT BABY". Then give high fives all around. - Belial

I think it's all fabricated by the right wing media to make the French look bad.

Last time I checked, France had a free market economy.
It has a free market economy, but it still has substantially more socialist policies than other western economies (e.g. UK, Ireland, US). The specific policy that most experts and pundits agree hurt employment are its policies on the firing of employees, and the power that unions hold. The US is not a perfect free market economy either, but it is more so than France. Further -- and as I stated earlier -- France was ruled by the socialist party for the better part of the 80's (the latter 90's too -- but those socialists certainly were not very socialist). During this time, France pursued socialist policies (i.e. the nationalization of financial institutions, industrial companies, etc).

I don't think anyone is specifically blaming socialism for the riots; part of the reason for the riots might be unemployment among the immigrant communities, and part of the reason for the unemployment might be some of France's employment policies. And they're certainly working on improving those policies (e.g. the recent abolition of the 35 hour work week) even if the unions in France still hold considerable power.

I don't think anyone was suggesting that the major reason for the riots are those dirty reds.
Don't hate the player. Hate the game.

Which was the basis for my statement that most true libertarians would not want to help immigrates integrate. Not that they 'don't like' immigrants but they would not believe in the government having a role in a social situation like that.
Frankly.. there is no perfect system.. and libertarism is a good example of that. Just my opinion.. but hey.. if I had a nickel for everyone of those.. I'd not have a mortgage right now...lol

"The trainee needs to look past the obvious solution to any problem and look for the real solution. For example, every arm training article in the last ten years to improve your arm circumference has included a workout based on curls and triceps extensions. Do you really think a lack of doing curls is the reason why most guys have less than impressive arms?

Every article on how to improve your chin-ups includes a program with a shitload of chin-ups in it. Is that all you've got? Improve your chin-ups by just doing more of them?

Really fucking cutting edge that is!"

I think people keep misspelling libertinism.

I don't think the French need help in that regard.

    I completely agree

If we don't do anything now, our countries will turn into the Third World Countries of today.
