    wich of these two breakfasts is most efficient

    I can't figure out wich of these two breakfasts is most efficient, who can help me out:

    getting up:
    shake, skimmed milk & 1 scoop whey, 1 scoop oats
    half an hour later:
    3 egg-whites + 1 whole egg, scrambled + 1 scoop oats mixed in it.

    or

    one big shake:
    skimmed wilk, 2 scoops whey & about 100gr oats, most easy...

    I've never seen the point in whey in the morning unless you're are just getting home from working out. I would personally go for some type of oats, egg combo.

    protein is good in the morning.. i'd say the first one cuz it seems hardeir..
    ithink i'd kill myself if i only had a shake with oats in it every day
    I don't have time. I make time.

    I would say as long as you get the needed amounts of protein/carbs/fats and calories at the end of the day to suit your goals, then what does it matter. I myself though would prefer the first one for breakfast then maybe the second one post workout.

    thanx for the replies!

    I thought that whey in the morning was ok to compensate the 8 hrs fast your body gets during sleeps (=catabolic state), that's my thought behind the whey shake first and then some scrambled eggs + oats....

    but when it's not making that big difference one meal in the morning is ok then? less hassle...less dishes....more quality..euh ...sleeping time

    Whey is ok in the morning.

    It depends on what your caloric intake can be. To me I'd go with option number 1.

    imo #1 is the best, egg satifies me for a much longer time that option 2

    What are your diet goals? Its hard to reccomend anything without knowing what you're trying to accomplish. I always say real food is better then the protein shake but I would still want to know what you're doing before I reccomend anything.
