    shoulder press or shrugs?

    my routine now is:
    bench press 3x8
    barbell curl 3x8
    lateral raises 3x8
    one arm row 3x8
    french press 3x8
    chest flye 3x8
and shoulder press or shoulder shrug which one would you rather
drop the shrug doesnt seem to be doing anything for me but i am so
tired off the bench press that I cant perform the shoulder press
    proply.

How often do you do that? It's a rather poor routine.

If you are unsure about how to put together a good routine, go with WBB1 or 2...start with 1. If 1 gets boring or if you stop growing, then move onto 2. I started with my own routine and didn't realize how much it sucked until it was too late. Started WBB1 and it's been working great.

Do shrugs on back day if you really want them. I do em then, and it doesn't interfere with my shoulder routine.

OK. Go with shoulder press if you are doing upper and lower. If you are going to a gym, why not just do DL's (Which hit your traps anyway) and then include military press for shoulders on your upper body day?

Still, is there any reason, out of curiosty, why you don't go with WBB1?

I understand that it would be nice if you could enjoy the routine you do, but progress and effectiveness outway that IMO. WBB routines are effective from my experience.

It's a matter of opinion. Personally, I would never do any routine that had me training upper body more often than lower.

The routine itself does not outweigh the "enjoyability" factor. That is because if someone doesn't like a routine, he will be more apt to skip a workout here or there and when in the gym the intensity may not be there.
