my routine now is:
bench press 3x8
barbell curl 3x8
lateral raises 3x8
one arm row 3x8
french press 3x8
chest flye 3x8
and shoulder press or shoulder shrug which one would you rather
drop the shrug doesnt seem to be doing anything for me but i am so
tired off the bench press that I cant perform the shoulder press
How often do you do that? It's a rather poor routine.
Don't hate the player. Hate the game.
If you are unsure about how to put together a good routine, go with WBB1 or 2...start with 1. If 1 gets boring or if you stop growing, then move onto 2. I started with my own routine and didn't realize how much it sucked until it was too late. Started WBB1 and it's been working great.
thats just my upper i do 2 times a week monday and thursday and i do lower tuesday saturday and its working great for me so could you answer the question please.
i'd go with shoulder press over shrugs
i dont see why u cant do them both, i think they work really well, do them diff. days
2000 or bust
Do shrugs on back day if you really want them. I do em then, and it doesn't interfere with my shoulder routine.

OK. Go with shoulder press if you are doing upper and lower. If you are going to a gym, why not just do DL's (Which hit your traps anyway) and then include military press for shoulders on your upper body day?Originally Posted by samj
Still, is there any reason, out of curiosty, why you don't go with WBB1?
Because not eveyone likes to do the WBB routines.Originally Posted by Y0yo

Whats not to like.. who cares if they like it or not, it works, compared to some of these ****ty routines I have bee looking at in the bodybuilding forums lately.Originally Posted by Kiaran
I understand that it would be nice if you could enjoy the routine you do, but progress and effectiveness outway that IMO. WBB routines are effective from my experience.Originally Posted by Kiaran
It's a matter of opinion. Personally, I would never do any routine that had me training upper body more often than lower.Originally Posted by Y0yo

i am doing DL's on my lower days.
The routine itself does not outweigh the "enjoyability" factor. That is because if someone doesn't like a routine, he will be more apt to skip a workout here or there and when in the gym the intensity may not be there.
