I have the opportunity to donate blood this Wednesday at my University.
I am 19yrs old, ~140lbs and have been bulking for a month.
Should I do it?
Would it hurt my weight gaining efforts?
Your body will replace anything they take out in short order. You might not want to do it on a lift day because some people feel lightheaded and weak afterwards (and a lot of people don't) ... but donate, eat, rest and you're back to 100%.

Ummmm...no. Its just blood, youre not donating calories.
Yes you should do it... Although I have no idea what it would do to your weight gaining efforts. Probably very little effect. It's supposed to be pretty healthy giving blood because the body has to create new blood to make up for the lost blood and so it's brand new fresh and clean heheh

Saving the lives of others is always a good thing. I doubt you'll lose the Mr. O because of it.
That's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure.
I think i'll do it
I give blood at least once a year. I always pick a time when I'm really well fed and rested - after a good meal and when I don't have to train heavy that day or the next is ideal, for me anyway.
Good for you for doing this - the life you save could be mine.
I'm on WBB1.. would it be okay to skip a day?
I do Mon, Wed and Fri for days 1, 2 + 3 respectively.
Wed is leg day.. probably the hardest day.
I give plasma 2x a week and blood every 1.5 mos or whatever the time inbetween being allowed to give at the Red Cross is without any trouble. I've seen 90lb people get up and walk away and 250lb guys collapse on the floor after, it's on a person by person basis.

the only time that sucks is when they insert the needle but your vein rolls and they poke around
I don't have time. I make time.
Yea that happened to me once. They had a new girl test her "skills" on me. She stabbed me like atleast 6 times.
