The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Twilo that's funny that they were using a racial allegory. I posted something like that on the King Kong over at IMDb AS A JOKE. If someone really takes this thing to reflect racism of some sort they're just looking to stir up trouble.

The movie was really good. I only had problems with one scene where I think all of the humans would have absolutely been squashed but somehow they almost all lived through the scene. Oh well.

Another thing we were thinking about is; if you were on an island with large apes, dinosaurs, and pretty much large everything... why would you try to capture the ape instead of a dinosaur or giant bug? Anyway I thought all of the acting was good.

I know the scene ur talking about lol, but it was entertaining nonetheless. And I never thought about trying to capture any of the other creatures lol, that would've been a better idea.

The ape would be the most intelligent out of those three IMHO.

    Spoilers.......

Some scenes were stupid. They tried to hold kong down with ropes+hooks.....Kong would of easily got them off. I don't even think 15 men can hold down a normal gorilla.

Kong was sliding on this frozen pond...or river I don't know, but the ice would of broke easily.

When kong fell off the empire state building, there was no crator/or a big hole on the ground. Also kong would of exploded into pieces.

One thing you should keep in mind.... ITS A MOVIE!!!!!!!!!! Hence the dinosaurs, and bugs as big as people..

Anyways I just got done watching this movie and I wanna say it is one of the greats I really do... BUT I cant, it is good and worth watching and A great rental.. 3+ hours isnt a turn off for me as long as there is sustance for those 3+ hours, Even though I believe each scene played a major role I just was not captivated throughout., Oh yeah this movie is very very sad and it had me gasping and cringing and on the brink of tears on soo many occasions. Peter Jackson did a great job of making the audience not only sympathize but really empathize with Kong..

Strangely enough this movie hasn't been doing very well at the box office. It only had 7-8 million $ it's opening night and since hasn't been doing that well. Kinda strange but I suppose the movie itself doesn't have anything 'new' to offer, plus I'm pretty sure theater attendance has been pretty low this year.

I personally liked this movie and would recommend it but just understand it's a visual spectacle and is 3 hours long.

We'll see if it 'hasn't been doing that well' once the opening weekend is over. An 18 million North American haul on a Wednessday just over a week before Christmas (when money is tight for everyone basically) is nothing for a movie about a giant gorilla to cry about.

They said it could out-sell titanic, which I thougth was pretty wishful thinking.

Very wishful. There will be less lovesick (primarily) women lining up for repeat views. Repeat views are what push a movie through the box office roof.

Saw the movie this weekend and I thought it was awesome, by far the best graphics I have seen in a movie. In most the Lord of the Rings at least for sure the last one I was ready for the end of the movie about 30 mins before it ended. King Kong didn't seem like a 3 hour movie to me. I think Peter Jackson did a great job and I hope the movie does well and people take the time to go see it. I wouldn't suggest seeing it if you have no imagination though, but I think that should be known by the plot of a giant ape to begin with... The T-rex fight scene was awesome!!!!

A ramp, I'd say. Could work considering they threw most of the heavy stuff overboard.

But yeah I see your point and they chose to omit that part just as the original had.
