    Need some help

hello all, well tomorrow is the big 20 rep squat day, and i have some worrys i want to clear up with all of you.

well, am i at risk for injury? proper streching should help that, also im not sure what weight to start with, i was thinking not to much, i have really strong legs but still im not used to this, so like 150? anything else i should watch out for?

you're not going to be injured if you use the proper precaution. don't get overconfident and get ahead of yourself. stretching may not be beneficial, but proper warm up will do fine. i dont know how much you are squatting, so i can't tell you how much weight you should use. This is something you have to experience with trial and error. well Goodluck.

I wouldn't suggest stretching first - just don't go overboard with the weight. You want to be able to do the whole set.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with a warmup set for a 20-rep set of squats - it's not a really heavy weight you're gonna be pushing.

But I rarely do warmup work at all, unless it's for strength-range work.

well isnt that the whole point of 20 rep squats, to push hard? lol. i also had a little pull problem last time i squated also so i think some warmup shouldnt hurt.

I sure as hell would warm up for a set of 20 rep squats. Not only that, I would probably warmup to a single well above the 20-rep set weight.
