The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    Anyone buy Men's Health books?

I got this email today for this book:

    http://www.mhmaxmuscle.com/uof/mhmax...&source=rodale

I have their "The Book of Muscle" book and it's quite nice since it shows over 200 exercises with diagrams on what muscles are worked and how to properly perform each exercise.

The book in the link seems interesting. Anything think it's worth the $32.00? I mean it's free for 21 days; maybe I should get it, read it over Christmas break (1month) and return it. hehe

    Donate money to exrx instead.

    No.
Out of the night that covers me,Black as the Pit from pole to pole,I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In The fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears looms but the horror of the shade And yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find, me unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate how charged with punishments the scroll,I am the master of my fate: I am the captain of my soul.

I bought a book that was entitled "The Hard Body Plan", or something like that, maybe 3 years ago or so. I didn't know at the time but looking back at it... it's a piece of garbage.

I remember the advice they gave about abs was basically just to keep on doing as many crunches as you possibly can. God what kind of monkeys are writing that stuff?

I still have that book and I never use it. I agree that it's garbage.

You can use google and see lots of sites for free. Or you can go to exrx.net, which is recommended a lot here. In fact, exrx.net contains videos of the exercise being performed.
