The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

    chest and shoulders

Whats the general feeling of combining chest workout with shoulder workout at one session?

Really appreciate some thoughts on this, as my training schedules are limited to 4 times a week and in one of those sessions I do a 60 minute mixed martial arts/boxing workout.

yeah i keep my chest and shoulders on seperate days otherwise i 2 find that my lifts aren't as high...mainly because of my bench and how much emphasise it puts on my front and side deltoids

    Thanks for reply.
Then should I do, for example, chest today and shoulders tomorrow or should I wait for at least two days before I begin with shoulders.

I'm using a slightly amended wbb#1 routine, i'd follow that I prefer to leave as many days between chest/back and shoulders/arms as possible so I can hit them as hard as possible.

Make sure you work the posterior deltoid too! not just anterior and lateral!

Direct shoulder work is the personal preference part.

Pressing of any sort will work the front and medial deltoids (Right?) and pulling will work the rear deltoids. Add in a couple sets of shoulder presses or lateral side raises if you really want. My current routine doesn't include any direct shoulder work as I have bad shoulders.

They both require pushing movements, so either keep them on the same day or as far apart as possible.

I've done both, currently I do shoulders with my chest workout. I haven't noticed any difference in how heavy I can lift for my shoulders. Like a few said its all personal prefrence and how you feel.
