Here's the site for more info ...

    http://outdoorsmen.bside.com/

Once a year, an exclusive group of men travels to a top-secret location somewhere in the wooded mountains of Washington State to compete in an all-day event they call The Outdoorsmen. They battle their way through a series of events that combine physical challenges with high-speed beer chugging.

Australians have been doing that for years. We call it working class.

It's not outdoorsy as much, but we used to run what we called "the Beerathalon" each summer when we'd go to this one friend's cottage

    3 man teams, relay race
    1st man runs 2km
2nd man swims out 250m to a boat in the lake, retrieves a 6pack of beer, swims/drowns back, carrying beer
    3rd man runs 2km
1st and 2nd men take shortcut back to basecamp while 3rd runs
3 man team must consume 12 beers

First team to complete the challenge wins.
Oddly enough, it's the good drinkers that win as opposed to the good athletes.

Sounds like Brokeback Mountain with a longer list of characters. Outdoorsmen escaping to remote woody locations to drink and "compete"... yeah, we've heard that story line before. *chuckle*

I don't camp. I stay at multi-star hotels. I saw Brokeback, though, and it confirmed my distaste for outdoor living.
