    Back to the basics..where is that?

    Ok so i'm reading a lot about which routines do what.. I want to stick to the main mass/strength building exercises, the power lifting ones. What are these exercises called? I think its the Big 3 or the Big 5? Ive done searches and can't come up with diddly.. Just trying to find a basic full body work out to do 3 days a week.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    i think your refering to the big three, squat deadlift and bench.
    I want to stick to the main mass/strength building exercises
    well you want to stick with compound lifts.
    8-12 reps are better for "mass" gains
    under 8 reps is better fit for strength gains

    i think pullups or bent over rows should be thrown in there along with military presses

    mikey4402: thanks!

    does anyone have any routines made with these lifts? I guess a good routine would have these, and their varieties.. right?

    Anyone have a simple 3 day routine?

    The WBB routines seem to have a few isolation exercises - not interested. I want to stick to the basics, lift hard, eat right, and sleep deep. I'm trying to gain mass and overall get my build back. Once I'm strong and have my form down I'll worry about isolation lifts..

    Any suggestions?

    If I were to pick only a few exercises they'd be;

    chest - bench, dips
    back - chins, rows, deads
    legs - squats, sldls

    The big 3 being bench, squats, deads. I like 4-6 rep range personally. Does this help?

    Those are the lifts that make up 90% of my upper/lower split.
