The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Fun with my Triceps...close grip bench

I did some close grip bench presses on Sunday [for the first time I think!] and my triceps are STILL sore..but after examining and really getting in touch I notice my long head and lateral head feel so..well kinda mushy, soft even.......I've always been pissed off at how I can never get my arms to develop and know I see how weak that part is..[I do dips, push ups bench etc..]
The close grip bench worked wonders-actually like I've never felt my triceps work before..... anyone else have some thoughts?
And still looking for a workout partner in Vancouver B.C. it was great but too far for him to go.......

With arms the slower you go with reps the more you use them.

I did some close grips the first time last week. It was intense. by the next tri session, my skull crushers had gone up, and I think it was because of the close grips.

i think your asking about how after the workout you tris wer sore as hell but they weren't tight, and why they weren't. I notice after lifting which ever muscle i just worked is really loose and tired and i cant get it to flex as hard, but the day after and the day after that is tight as hell. (shot in the dark)

    Thanks for the comments..
Sorry for not being clearer, What I am wondering is if close grip bench is the best end all be all exercise for Tris 'cause even today[Thursday] my arms ache like hell..skull crushers never had this effect on me...I feel like I have efficiently worked the whole tri's ,I never get that feeling with dips,or any other tri exercise...
oh and and still trying to find a good workout partner!!!!!!

Probably just hitting it differently so it is sore. I generally am much more sore when i switch in a lift that I haven't done for awhile in place of or in addition to my other lifts.

For example- I dont do flyes very often any more and focus more on the strength movements, but I threw them in place of decline bench last monday and I have been sore in my chest for a lot longer than normal.
