The Five Biggest Contradictions in Fitness

Itís no secret that when people contradict themselves, it has the effect of making the flaws in their actions or statements seem glaringly obvious. But what about when WE ourselves get caught contradicting ourselves by someone else?

Some new pictures. All comments and critiques are very welcome.

Old picture, from August. At the time I didn't know exactly what I was doing. I was cycling 150 mpw, weightlifting three times a week and eating very healthy. I was also running 3 miles every now and then. Usually whenever I was bored and didn't feel like just sitting around. I weighed in at about 190-195.

This is me as of four or five days ago. I am in a bulk and am eating anything I see, along with having a 1000 cal protein shake almost everyday. I am taking 5g of creatine and I have little to no cardio. The only exercise besides lifting at the moment is pushing carts around at the grocery store because it's my job. I weight 215 lbs and am just trying to stay the same weight but have a lowe bf%.

and since i have never posted a leg picture I will show you my legs too.

    and back pictures

this is the before in August again

    and this is the current

I personally think you look better in the older pic. you had that athlete's look.

in the newer pic, i cant tell if it is water retention from creatine or just fat but you look "fattish" in the torso. the arms though have gotten much better. I can see good muscle in the bis and forearms.

Gaining some far is part of the deal if you're bulking. WTF is an "athlete's look" and what does it have to do with bodybuilding? Good job on the bulk so far, keep up with it for more gains. Arms definitely got better. Why no back pics?

Yeah, thanks. I was taking creatine in the first picture too. I have just been eating a lot more and not doing as much cardio.

Thanks for the compliments on the arms. They measure 17.5 inches, and my forearms are 14 inches.

in my opinion, your arms are too big for the rest of your body. I'd focus on getting your chest and lats up to speed with your arms. Good progress though.

I only do direct arm work when we are doing so in Strenght Training at school.

I have been doing lat pulls, low rows, and deadlifts to work on my back. I'm also doing a lot more benching to get my chest up to par.

    Hey,

    I'm confused..

You said "I am in a bulk and am eating anything I see, along with having a 1000 cal protein shake almost everyday"

but then you said: "I weight 215 lbs and am just trying to stay the same weight but have a lowe bf%."

So are you going to cut now?
