Well, I started deadlifting yesterday night. I did 5 sets, 5-6 reps each. First reps i started with 60 kgs, progessing so the 5th set was at 80 kgs. It was pretty tough for a first timer, but it felt good. The deadlift was the end of my back routine (3 excercises before it). Then I wanted to do some biceps. My arms didn't feel tired at all. They were normal... but when I tried bicep curling 20 kgs (which is the normal weight i lift, my standard), I couldn't even lift one rep! Then my whole body started hurting like hell, not the injury type of hurting, but the muscles iare hot kind of hurt. Legs, back, and most importantly, arms. Extreme tiredness. & those of you that have read my Capoeira thread, this week was basiclly CAPOEIRA-FREE... so i wasn't tired at all when i started to work out yesterday.
my question is: is that normal?? How many sets/reps should I do of deadlifts so I can continue with biceps (or any other excercise for the matter?)
